Because I refuse to watch the last episode of season 3 or any episodes after that one. These are one-shots of Claire Browne and Neil Melendez because they deserved better, so I will create my own reality of their relationship. All these chapters are one-shots, which means that they will not be related to each other unless it says so. Therefore, you can also just skip around to the ones you want to read. They will be put on Archive of Our Own when I get my invite as well, as that seems to be the place for Melendaire fanfics:)

I faintly remember reading somewhere that there are three parties involved in Abuse. An abuser, a victim and an observer. If even one of them was brave enough to defend the wrong , then the heinous crime would have not occurred. I am not an Abuser but none less than one because I just stood there and watched. I didn't even raise a faint cry when they were mercilessly attacking their victim. I had the means and influence to stop but I chose not to. He was right as I am worse than them, a selfish coward. I hid behind petty excuse of my weak self while they burned their prey into ashes. Those ashes were taken away by tide of time, leaving nothing behind. All I could do was mourn over the loss. I stayed strong, believing against all odds that phoenix will arise from those forsaken ashes. I know when karma hits, I will also be on receiving end. Yet I prayed and waited, for his return.
