Skylar, or Sky, is your average high school student. She has decent grades, an okay family, and an average reputation of a person who they never notice in the backround. Today is her birthday, her 16th, and she should be getting her license today. Instead of a happy birthday, she gets a surprise from her 'best friend..' Lilac, on the other hand, is outgoing, has decent grades, and now, apparently, has a high reputation. She went from a nobody to a somebody in less than a month. And to do that, she had to leave her best friend, Sky. Well, Lilac knew her decision right away, and was ready for change. She already forgot about their plans tonight and that today was Sky's birthday. Skylar has never been good at talking, so she decides to write Lilac a note, but she can't write just one. Eventually, she starts to make many notes, and decides to write them all in a book. They start with the same title. "Dear Lilac," - Each chapter has roughly 500- 700 words. There are some swears in this book, nothing too bad though. Besides that, this book is a really good one for anyone who's ever lost a friend, been in high school/school, or anyone who needs to forgive someone who hurt them. This book isn't about anyone in particular, not actual names are used and all names I picked were from a name generator. Skylar goes through the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. She sometimes goes through more than one of these emotions, like anger and depression. She tries to get over her friend by writing her letters.

Russia finds out that he's having to share a dorm room with the one and only America, a country that's too loud, too excited, and too touchy for Russia's taste. However, America isn't as happy as he always seems, but Russia doesn't want to play therapist for the other country as he deals with issues of his own.
