After promising to stay close to her sister, Joy receives a note that calls her back into the forest, back into the tree house, alone. As she contemplates her decision, mysterious beasts roam the town. This is the second work in a collection of short stories revolving around Marian, Joy, and their adventures into the strange and marvelous forest the surrounds their hometown.

A short story I wrote to practice dialog in my creative writing class. This the hopeless tale of a social awkward girl trying to get a certain some one's attention while ignoring her little sister's advice. Based on my OCs Marian and Joy.

The first story in a collection of short stories revolving around sisters Marian, Joy, and their misadventures in the strange and marvelous forest that surrounds their hometown. Marian, the eldest of the two sisters, stops to take a picture of an unusual green leaf on their way home from school. Meanwhile, something in the lurking forest catches Joy's eyes.
