Connie and Jacob are really happy together Grace is in New York event though Connie is missing her her life is alright and she has settled into her routine with Jacob . But Jacob gets a a call from his ex who needs help with Anna who is Jacobs three year old daughter .

Connie and Jacob are expecting a baby, but it certainly isn't there first. (Grace does not exist in this story and Connie and Jacob's background is very different)
