Emma Woodhouse, aged 20 at the start of the novel, is a young, beautiful, witty, and privileged woman in Regency England. She lives on the fictional estate of Hartfield in Surrey in the village of Highbury with her elderly widowed father, a hypochondriac who is excessively concerned for the health and safety of his loved ones. Emma's friend and only critic is the gentlemanly George Knightley, her neighbour from the adjacent estate of Donwell, and the brother of her elder sister Isabella's husband, John. As the novel opens, Emma has just attended the wedding of Miss Taylor, her best friend and former governess. Having introduced Miss Taylor to her future husband, Mr. Weston, Emma takes credit for their marriage, and decides that she rather likes matchmaking.

Wuthering Heights is a wild, passionate story of the intense and almost demonic love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, a foundling adopted by Catherine's father. After Mr Earnshaw's death, Heathcliff is bullied and humiliated by Catherine's brother Hindley and wrongly believing that his love for Catherine is not reciprocated, leaves Wuthering Heights, only to return years later as a wealthy and polished man. He proceeds to exact a terrible revenge for his former miseries. The action of the story is chaotic and unremittingly violent, but the accomplished handling of a complex structure, the evocative descriptions of the lonely moorland setting and the poetic grandeur of vision combine to make this unique novel a masterpiece of English literature.

Half a decade ago I left behind the life I didn't choose to have. I was turned against my will, thrown in the water and forced to float. I tried to deal with my feelings but it was almost impossible when I had to choose between two people I love. So I left and spent five years in Europe to clear my head. Along my travels I discovered that us vampires aren't the only killing supernatural beings out there. There are others that are just as fast, strong and brave. I don't know if going home is a good idea but it's the only idea I have right now.

Melanie Blunt seems like a normal teenage girl. But which secrets is she hiding? Her whole life changes when she meets Harry.. Will the secrets bring these two different people closer to each other or will it turn out differently? Part of the book: "My lips press against hers and hers against mine. I don't push my tongue in her mouth, cause I know that if I would do that, she will immediately stop. It feels like we're the only people in the entire world. I know that if the world would break right now I wouldn't even notice. She stops and I open my eyes. her eyes are not open yet. It's like she wants to understand, but she can't. I cannot understand it either. She opens her eyes a second later and swallows. Of course she does, this is her first real kiss, I just know it. Maybe she kissed Devon.. But it will have been nothing in compare with this. "Wow" She pronounces, not knowing how to break the silence. "Yeah, you can say that." I say quickly."
