At present, I hold mixed feelings regarding the character of Jayce. However, I have supported the pairing of Jayce and Viktor for quite some time, and my viewpoint concerning both characters remains unchanged. I appreciate their relationships as well as their respective canon pairings. With that said, I find Act Two of this series to be highly engaging, and I look forward to the release of Act Three. Furthermore, I hope that all readers enjoy this book as much as I enjoy writing it.

Jayce and Mel were perfect. Jayce and Viktor were not. Perfection is a temporary virtue, and time does not forgive those who overstay their welcome. Jayce finally accepts his feelings for Viktor, but Viktor's days are numbered, there's pressure from the Mel and Heimerdinger and their Hextech dream is being threatened. Destruction, deterioration, death. Can we really protect those which we love? Angst!! It isn't my first time writing it, but will be my first time shedding tears. Welcome to Arcane.

Despite being driven apart after everything that had happened the last weeks Jayce still values his partner's opinion. Raiding the Undercity with Hextech weapons as Caitlyn's friend Vi had suggested wasn't to joke about and he had a co-partner after all. At the same time Viktor is living off the rest of shimmer he used for his experiments, but to every high there follows a low and the higher you climb the faster you can fall. Only this time, Jayce wouldn't leave his side.
