When I was a child, I used to think the monsters Mom used to tell me in her fairytale stories were scary. But now that I've seen the real world, I've realized humans are much scarier. There's an evil king turning innocent people into demons, villages literally dying from lack of resources, and the only way to solve this is an eighteen year old girl who doesn't even know her real identity yet. Well, that's going to change real soon because unless the world wants an army of controlled demons ruling the world, someone's got to stand up. Cover: @LadySnowdrop [HIATUS]

[[word count: 80,000-90,000 words]] Content and/or Trigger Warning: This story contains scenes of verbal and physical abuse that may be triggering for some readers. NOTICE: Before the Morning is currently undergoing revisions! A sensitivity reader (someone who goes through your manuscript and assesses representations in your work) identified a number of issues surrounding the Filipino representation in BTM. I'm rewriting with the goal of creating a more authentic and respectful story. I'm sorry for the pain I caused by failing to include accurate Filipino culture and in having written from Nora's point of view.

I gasped out as he suddenly pushed me up against the wall of his house roughly. His large hands gripped me by my waist tightly and I winced at the feeling of his fingertips digging into my skin. There would definitely be bruises there tomorrow... I stared up into Alexander's eyes, noticing how dark his eyes seemed to be. His wolf was surfacing and that meant no good for me. Oddly enough for me, my wolf pushed at me to let her surface as well. I held head back, keeping my gaze on Alexander. He brought his head down and I let out a gasp as he placed his head in the crook of my neck and inhaled. "You're mine." He growled against my skin, his growl reverberating through my body and shaking me to the core. *** Aurora 'Rory' Jackson was the normal werewolf.
