I went to reach for my phone out of my purse but James snatched it of me, "you won't be needing that," he told me before throwing it out of his window. I gasped, "what do you want with me?" I asked him whilst trying to ignore the tears that were threatening to run down my cheeks. He laughed, "a bit clichè, don't you think?" I tried to open the car door but it was locked, he must have known I would try that. I started to cry, "please let me go!" I shouted. He shrugged, "why would I do that? It's not like anyone will miss you," he said and he laughed again. I put my head in my hands and started sobbing uncontrollably. I felt James' hand patting my thigh and I swatted him away. He sighed, "you're so stubborn, Lily," he said. There was no way I was going to be able to escape from this. I just sat in the car and sobbed.

I, Nova Brielle fell in love with my kidnapper. I'm not sure how or why. Actually- maybe it was the way his eyes shone when he was deep in thought. Maybe it was because underneath everything he was a good person. Or maybe it was because once he loved someone or something, he took care of that person or object and did everything possible to make sure it never got hurt. I didn't plan on falling in love with him. But I did, and there's nothing I can do to change that.
