Third in the Timeline series | After being told she was the infamous Agent 4, that every S.H.I.E.L.D agent thought was a rumour, Clara decides to get back in the field. Her old boss, and presumed dead, Phil Coulson guides her as she reunites with old friend Steve Rogers as their mutual friend Bucky Barnes resurfaces, as friend or foe, they can't be certain. After everything they've been through, Clara can only hope that it's the same Bucky she remembers from all those years ago, but all she truly wants if for him to remember her back. It's not easy trying to reconnect with a past love when your own friends are against you. Maybe what she needs is to go back to where it all began, if only she could go back to the 40s, when everything seemed simpler.

Ever since her accident in the field, she'd become a desk agent but working as Phil Coulson's 'personal assistant' meant life was never dull. Especially when none other than Captain America resurfaces and Clara has to deal with Phil's incessant fangirling. But something's up. Why does Captain America know her name when they've never met before? Clara knew Steve's arrival would change everything but things start to change for the worst. Her boss is shot by a rogue asgardian prince and Clara is suddenly dragged back into the field again. So Clara did what she had been trained to do: go and hide in a S.H.I.E.L.D safehouse until the threat was gone. It just so happens that the nearest safehouse contains more secrets than Clara was willing to uncover. To get to the bottom of all the Captain America nonsense and whoever this metal armed assassin is, she'd have to go back in time. And we all know that's not possible. Right?
