It is Valentine's Day at Canterlot High. Joy is being spread out all around others. The beauty of love is in pure bloom. But something in the air happens that doesn't feel right. It all starts to fade away as students begin being completely drained of their energy sources. The Main Eight have all received mysterious invitations from an anonymous source, inviting them to attend a new popular carnival that has just opened near Canterlot High. This time they go there to join in for the fun, as they are not looking for any trouble this time around. Even, despite something feeling off about the presence of just being there themselves. Because of the great sportsmanship with the Wondercolts and Shadowbolts from the last Friendship Games; the students of Canterlot High have all been specially invited to attend the Crystal Fair. Of course, it will be in the form of a field trip this time. Taking place at Crystal Prep Academy, Starlight Glimmer and the others run into some old friends there. But the most sparkling sight to see there is the Crystal Heart. It is a precious gem that has been kept there for generations. Since, Sunset Shimmer was a unicorn and has come across to the magical mirror, becoming a teenage girl in the human world. Sunset has ruled Canterlot High as she first appeared. Helping Princess Twilight Sparkle and the rest of The Main Six defeat 'The Sirens', she was redeemed from her evil ways. But don't you want to know what happened to her in the past? There is a Christmas party that is being held at Canterlot High, that the students can go to with their family. The Main Six, however, are having a blast!
