While trying to have a normal life, Ging comes and tries to kills him off with no prevail by every chance he gets. He doesn't believe happiness can happen in his life ever again. Gon instantly becomes popular but he wants to be friends with Killua the most. Killua continues to push everyone away. Gon makes friends with Kurapika and Leorio on his journey to befriend Killua.

7 years after their separation Gon and Killua accidentally bump into each other. They are both filled to brim with emotions but one of them wants nothing to do with reconciliation. Assigned to children at young ages, they live for as long as they are remembered by the child, which usually lasts for six years. The exception to this rule is Killua, the imaginary friend to Gon. Having lived for years past the average, he has to face some things that other figments would never have to; be offered something that both he and Gon never thought would be possible.
