Hello Wattpad, this is going to be my first story written on here, so I'm going to need some practice. A little backstory, this story is going to be based upon the life of one of my roleplay characters, Jack Rider, the story is set in a Cyberpunk world, which is basically steampunk in the future, so you have cyborgs, laser guns, hover vehicles, the works. So sit back, grab a snack, and enjoy. PS: I'll be writing the first bit as a way to test the waters, if I get a good response, ill work harder to get the rest of the story out sooner, and if any of you guys see a problem with my writing that you think should be fixed, lemme know.

Before you read this you need to know who I am or else you won't get the full picture. The year is 2200 and my name is Elijah, I'm 17 years old, and I'm what people call a "Rider." As a rider I participate in drift races in the slums of my city and earn cash for my gang the Twilight Crusaders. Where do I live you ask well it's fairly simple I live in Neo Angeles, otherwise known as the worst city in all of the United States, a place where corrupt businessmen rule the city and the pickings are left for gangs. It's here where I live with my mom in a small house in the city. My Dad died in a car accident when I was twelve years old, at least that's what the report said but I doubt it was just an accident. You see the world I live in is one of chaos, corruption, survival, and demons. Here you have three options: You're either lucky and are born into a wealthy family, second, you become a demon and do whatever it takes to survive, or you crumble under the weight and find yourself dead in a ditch or an alley because you looked at someone the wrong way. That's just how life is here it may be unfair but in the end only the strong and cunning stay alive.

A group of strangers chosen by the goverment to help with the secret project end up in an futuristic/cyberpunk city in a conflict between an insurgency force and a wealthy corporation.
