The advice you will find here follows the Chicago Manual of Style which is widely used by American publishers. There are some variances in style from country to country (and even from American publisher to American publisher.) **It may be easier to search the Table of Contents, as there is no rhyme or reason right now to chapter order.**

Isobel's world is turned upside down when she meets a mysterious guy who reveals a devastating secret about her boyfriend. *** Isobel and Matt had been best friends for most of their school life when they decided to start dating. Comfortable around each other and knowing everything there was to know, a relationship seemed like a natural--and exciting--step for them. But with the novelty starting to wear off, Isobel struggles to accept that her loving boyfriend has changed, only remembering years of good memories with the guy she could talk to about anything. When Nathan arrives on the scene and secrets from the past become exposed, Isobel's world is set to change. Mysterious, dangerous and infuriatingly persistent, Nathan is the opposite of everything she's known. But maybe that's just what she needs to get over Matt. #1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Isobel and Nathan must work to keep their romance alive when changes in their circumstances threaten to take a toll. *** As Isobel heads off to university, Nathan settles into his new job. They might still be living in the same city, but they're in completely different places in their lives. Nathan's career sounds perfect on paper: he's near his girlfriend and enjoys the mental challenge of Italian translation work. When his colleague messes up, though, he finds himself facing increasing pressure to save his own job. And that leads to him making a decision that rocks his relationship. Isobel is partying, meeting new people, and getting stuck into studying. But not everyone wants to be her friend. Personality clashes and romantic misunderstandings make her first year at university full of drama and learning curves. The time apart threatens to take its toll, while their time together burns hotter than ever. Can they balance work, studying, and romance--or will outside forces get under their skin?
