After many retellings of Bilbo's tale, many details were forgotten, one of them being a friend, family member and loved one. Her story shall be told once more.

Ivy has walked Middle Earth for almost as long as the beginning of the land itself, surviving the world she was thrown into all alone, with no title. She has lived to see battles and wars throughout the course of time, never truly belonging anywhere or ever having a true calling. She thirsts for adventure, something to fill in the endless time that she will always have until the bittersweet kiss of death... So, it's no surprise when a familiar Wizard shows up, offering a quest, that she just can't pull herself to refuse. 13 Dwarves and a Hobbit make up the company for the long road ahead, each of her companions teaching her lessons. Ivy finds herself learning and evolving from these folk, letting herself feel included again. But will it last...? ~Credit to J.R.R Tolkien for creating this amazing world and story. Credit also to Peter Jackson for turning this great book into a movie trilogy, this of which is what my story is mainly based off. Nilda ist die Frau von Thorin - sie lebten glücklich miteinander und liebten sich über alles. Bis Nilda bei einem Orküberfall auf die Blauen Berge gefangen genommen wird und von den Orks als Sklavin missbraucht wird. Dies geschah in etwa vor 15 Jahren - seitdem ist sie von den meisten Zwergen in Vergessenheit geraten oder als tot erklärt worden. Außer von ihrem Mann, Thorin Eichenschild, der bis heute die Hoffnung nicht aufgegeben hat und immer noch glaubt, Nilda würde eines Tages zu ihm zurückkehren. Er ahnt nicht, dass damals, als sie entführt wurde, etwas in ihr schlummerte....

Lyrann wird von ihrer Tante in Bruchtal aufgezogen. Als Tochter einer Zwergin und eines Elben scheint sie ewig eine Außenseiterin zu sein. Wenn Thorins Gemeinschaft nach Bruchtal kommt, sieht sie ihre Chance, mehr über ihre Herkunft zu erfahren. Doch die Zwerge und gerade Thorin begegnen ihr mit Vorurteilen und Hass. Nicht ahnend, welches Schicksal vor ihr liegt, schließt sich Lyrann einer Reise an, die ihr und Thorins Leben für immer verändern wird.
