After many retellings of Bilbo's tale, many details were forgotten, one of them being a friend, family member and loved one. Her story shall be told once more.

She was a mysterious one to him when she showed up at the hobbits home. She had the beauty beyond any elf, or human and was only the height of dwarf. Forced to hide her true identity. Bella travels with the company of Thorin Oakenshield to reclaim an ancient homeland that was taken by a merciless dragon long ago. Thorin has an obligation to fulfill to his people while he battles against his own feelings that have suddenly awaken within him. Bella must face obstacles of her own on this journey, including facing who she really is and her feelings for the dwarf king himself.

The Taurhelim are a forgotten race of people -- half dwarf, half elf. A hundred years before Smaug attacks Erebor, they were obliterated by orcs. Only one survived. Arien Feathalion, the last princess of the Taurhelim, has been hiding in Rivendell all these years. The elves taught her to write, to sing, to hunt, and to kill. But now she must leave. She thirsts for adventure, something to fill in the endless time that she will always have until the bittersweet kiss of death... So, it's no surprise when a familiar Wizard shows up, offering a quest, that she just can't pull herself to refuse. 13 Dwarves and a Hobbit make up the company for the long road ahead, each of her companions teaching her lessons. Nilda ist die Frau von Thorin - sie lebten glücklich miteinander und liebten sich über alles. Bis Nilda bei einem Orküberfall auf die Blauen Berge gefangen genommen wird und von den Orks als Sklavin missbraucht wird. Dies geschah in etwa vor 15 Jahren - seitdem ist sie von den meisten Zwergen in Vergessenheit geraten oder als tot erklärt worden. Außer von ihrem Mann, Thorin Eichenschild, der bis heute die Hoffnung nicht aufgegeben hat und immer noch glaubt, Nilda würde eines Tages zu ihm zurückkehren. Er ahnt nicht, dass damals, als sie entführt wurde, etwas in ihr schlummerte....

Lyrann ist das Kind eines Elben und einer Zwergin. Aufgewachsen in Bruchtal trifft sie dort auf Thorin und seine Gefährten. Trotz der Vorurteile und des Hasses, den vor allem Thorin ihr entgegen bringt, schließt sie sich der Gruppe an. Kann Lyrann sich einen Platz in der Gemeinschaft sichern?
