Population levels have reached critical, forcing the government to step in. A new system is built - an assigned mate for 16-year-olds, one child per family, all done with a computer algorithm. Careers are determined by what job is needed and best suited for. Any deviation and they face the risk of becoming a Lower--the unwanted dregs of society. Or sometimes something far worse. Rebecca hates the system. She's paired with a cookie-cutter human called Jake, sees her dream job given away to a liar, and is forced to work in endless code as a programmer. Nothing is what she would choose for herself. When she and a boy with many secrets, Scott, discover a flaw in the system, they realize they can change everything. Jake could be with his real love. Rebecca could follow her dream of writing. Society can be turned on its head with the sweep of a keystroke. If they're caught, they face a fate far worse than becoming a Lower. [ COMPLETED ] child /CHīld/ noun noun: child; plural noun: children a son or daughter of any age. a person or thing influenced by a specified environment. ________________________________________________ PROJECT: CHILD was administered by Arnim Zola, a Swiss scientist working under SHIELD. It's main purpose was to see how a POW, and the Winter Soldier reacted to a child, along with it's psychological affects. It was not meant to continue for decades, nor was the child meant to be set free. Angelika was a child born from vitro fertilization, with the sole purpose of being HYDRA's lab rat. Even though she had a voice, she rarely used it. Perhaps out of fear, or perhaps out of habit, but the man-Bucky- was different, and so was the Winter Soldier. _________________________ "There is no greater warrior than a father protecting his child." ________________________ in which the Winter Soldier has a little girl following after him. ________________________ Highest Ranking #1 in { thewintersoldier } #2 in { civilwar } #3 in { bucky } #4 in { natasharomanoff } #11 in { tonystark }

What lengths would you go to in order to achieve your dreams? Spencer has always seen the world through numbers. While they watch those in negative numbers strive for positives and those in the positives risk everything to stay in the positives, they long for the simplest of numbers: Zero. At Zero, they will experience true tranquility and feel at peace with themself. To help reach as close to Zero as possible, Spencer writes books, novelettes, poetry and more. By sharing their experiences as an agender person living with a mother who doesn't understand them (nor try to), they hope to inspire others and assure them they are not alone. When Spencer is given the opportunity to work with a publisher and publish their own book, they are determined to write a romance book proposal that no one will want to turn down. The only problem: none of their ideas are authentic enough. Since Spencer never felt the need to date before, their writing teacher encourages them to pursue romance to help inspire their book. While Spencer is determined to not date anyone, they are willing to give it a try for the sake of their writing. And when they find out their cute classmate seems to be interested in them, they decide to see where their blossoming relationship will go. After all, they're willing to do anything to reach Zero.
