"Are you an angel?" Virgo asked cautiously. The white headed girl looked back at Virgo and her brother. "Angels don't exist. The sooner you accept that, the easier it gets." "Then who are you?" Virgo asked, following her some more. The white headed girl had a twinge if sympathy in her eyes. "Names have power, kid. It's best you don't know mine." "Then what are you?" Virgo demanded, sick of this girls games. Her brother held onto her arm. "Most kids know us now as the monster under the bed. The demon willing to drag you to the pits of hell," the girl explained. "But there are no such things as demons and angels. Life isn't that black and white." ------------- There is a town where children are snatched from their beds in the night. There is a town where mothers fear their children are next to go. There is a town where windows and doors remained lock in fear of what may come through them in the dead of night, when nobody is a awake, when nobody will hear a scream. There is a place where monsters and saviors of fairy tales lurk. Where they live and thrive. Where there are lonely sirens, angry fae, and annoying pixies. Such place does exist, I promise, but only if you know where to look. Two children kidnapped in the dead of night. A rein of evil over the land. Twelve people who cannot stop arguing in the midst of it all. Folklore Forest is about to be overrun by a whole new crazy. "Hey, take my hand?" The boy asked, pushing his hair out of his face. "We'll make it, I swear." "Woah, Livin' on a prayer." The girl smiled, taking it. Everyone else joined hands, creating a circle of thirteen. Each clasped each other tightly, as if they were scared to let go. And, most of them would deny it, they were. They needed to hold on. They were a family. A broken one, sure. But throughout all the hardships they had encountered, they couldn't be anything less. ---- What if I told you the zodiacs were real? You'd probably call me crazy. But, see, that's the best part. Thirteen broken teenagers, twelve zodiac signs, four different elements, one family. But, if you'd recall, things aren't always what they seem. Are you still listening? Good. Then perhaps we should start from the very beginning. So pull up a chair and listen, fore this tale isn't of the ordinary. Thirteen teenagers are about to venture into the most dangerous part of their lives. Most of them have feuds, pasts, and issues. Some still have enough room for kindness. But, in the end, was the fall worth the climb? "Hey, what's this?" Sagittarius picked up a newspaper from the 90s, which featured six kids huddled around a book. "Those are the kids who went missing," Taurus replied. She read off the names one by one. Cancer's attention was piqued as the last name was read off. He mumbled something and rummaged through his bag. "What? What is it, Cancer?" Gemini asked. Cancer pulled out a notebook that had the previous owner's name in the paper. In calligraphy on the cover, the owner had written, 'A Warning to the Weary Traveler.' "What's inside?" Libra asked. Cancer shrugged. He opened the book and all but the last page was blank. "Trust no one," read Capricorn aloud. They glanced at each other and a chill encased the room. ------ 1995. A group of friends are always seen hanging out with each other, up to the point where they collectively go missing. They are never found. 25 years later, 2020. A total of six students get detention together for various criminal acts. While scraping gum off of desks, they come across an old newspaper from 1995. The one of the missing kids. Looking deeper, the kids become intrigued in the way these kids disappear. However, the kids dismiss these findings and go their separate ways, until fate finds them together again. Unlikely friendships and formed and broken apart but one fact remains clear: History repeats itself.
