Shortly after the departure of Yu Narukami, the remaining members of the Investigation Team are forced to work with out their leader when the midnight channel returns and the shadows once again grow restless. All this accruing as a new detective and his son come to the "peaceful town" . Will these two be able to aid the team in discovering the truth behind the return of the midnight channel? Or will the fog prevent them from seeing the layers of truth within themselves?

(Y/N), a new transfer student to Beacon, has gained the attention of the school's youngest huntress-in-training, Ruby Rose. But what is it about him that as her enthralled? Is it the fact he is the only person without a team, that he seems to never talk unless spoken to, or that he is never seen outside of class? Well whatever the reason it can't be that she has a crush on him. That would be ridiculous!
