Hermione didn't know what to expect when she went back to Hogwarts. All she knew was that the new Headmistress McGonagall had sent for her to help restore the school. She knew that she had saved Severus Snape from death near the end of the terrible Wizarding War, but only she and those currently at Hogwarts knows that Snape is alive. When Hermione finds that she must work with the Potions teacher once again, she is shocked. She had just graduated, how on Earth could she be a professor already? Severus Snape decides to help the poor girl, but in the dungeons there is more brewing than just potions.

My life is full of magic. I was barely a few months old when you-know-who came and killed my parents. My brother, Harry, was almost four. They sent him away but I was too weak from the attack. Papa has raised me since then, letting me run around the school when the students aren't there. Papa lets me make potions with him when he's not busy or angry with his students.
