Somewhere along the line while she was on his team, learning to become a shinobi alongside him, Sasuke stopped being just a good-looking, smart boy to her. Sakura got to know him - the darkness he wore like armour, and the light he only revealed in his rarest, most unguarded moments.

"Pregnant?" Sakura Uchiha speaks the word as if it's a foreign concept; as if she isn't a fully qualified medical professional who has not only studied the vast permutations of the human body, but has delivered quite a few babies in her time. And given birth to at least one herself. Shizune laughs nervously. "Congratulations?" A month after the Chūnin Exams and the showdown with the final members of the Ootsutsuki family, Sakura discovers that she and Sasuke are due for an unexpected addition to the family. The discovery leads to a shift in dynamic among the Leaf village's elite shinobi and their children.

It's no secret Sasuke hates the cold almost as much as he hates humans or magic. "Don't make this any harder than it has to be, Sakura." I swallowed hard, my body shaking. I can't believe this is actually happening. Who knew that it will actually end up like this? I knew that I have to save Naruto and Sasuke-kun so that we could run away and hide before it's too late. "I-I'm not opening the door." I took a step backwards, looking at the kitchen. There was a knife on the counter, I needed it. If he is going to break inside, I have to fight back in order to get out of here. I quickly get it and face the door once again. I take a deep breath and tighten the grip on the knife's handle. There was one big question that kept running inside my mind over and over again. When will this nightmare end? Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto suddenly found themselves stuck in their own "ideal world"; a world with no chakra, ninjas, wars and just peace, tranquility and happiness. Their loved ones who were once dead are alive and the place they called home is back to normal again. Everything seems perfect, right? Wrong. They soon find out the person who has trapped them in that world is out to kill them. What's worse is that he won't stop at nothing until they're dead and they don't even have chakra to fight back. Will they be able to escape and be safe? Or will they remain trapped forever? You believe in old myths, in ghosts, in powerful creatures, etc. It all exists, even if it's just in your minds. So who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as you and I?"
