So when his twin brother, Patton, finally changes school after 3 years of unnoticed bullying, arrives at their school for their senior year, deciding to befriend the emo boy because he 'looked lonely', Roman is everything but happy about it. Roman, a sophomore is High school, is a very quiet kid. But he has a reason. Roman has been deaf for about 4 years. He was kidnapped and raped for the majority of his childhood. The abuse he was put through caused him to lose his hearing. He was found by police 2 years later, and the last 4 years has been tough. Learning how to live in society again, deal with PTSD, while simultaneously learning how to live without his hearing.
