In the heart of the Gilded Age, New York City suffers from a rift in humanity. On one end the giants of industry, the tycoons. On the other, the labor they utilize for their profits, the men and women living in squalor. When John Watson, a lowly schoolmaster, gets the opportunity to join the household of the great Holmes family he expects a big paycheck and an upturned nose. What he didn't expect, however, was to be led through the privileged life all the way to the nightclub that gives the rich their pleasures. And inside, in the door opened by many, he may have found a secret love that is much closer to home than expected. Johnlock

A home can be made in any old building, though when the Watsons move into an abandoned church they discover that not all past uses can be erased. With the mournful statues of saints hiding in the shadowed corners and the lingering smell of candle smoke, the foreclosed church begins to feel more like a hallowed out irony than any place to start a family. More troublesome than not, the stubborn priest still lives next door, his smug face peering through the curtains to judge the 'heathens' who had taken over his place of worship. However Father Holmes may not be prepared to have such young, enthusiastic neighbors. Until, of course, a bothersome creature from Hell decides to step in and make them a bit more compatible. Vacations are meant to be fun, not change your life. ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅∙∘☽༓☾∘∙•⋅⋅⋅•⋅⋅⊰⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⋅•⋅ When Devin Ward and Beau Young are forced to go on vacation together they make two rules; play nice and avoid each other at all costs. Seems easy enough, until a single night at the beach leads to the realization that two supposed enemies have more in common than they're willing to admit. Neither suspected their turbulent relationship to change, let alone in a matter of fourteen days, but apparently that's all the time it takes to accept the love that has always been there.

Eli thinks life would be a lot easier if Matthew would give up his crime fighting shenanigans. Granted, if he'd wanted a normal life, he wouldn't have agreed to date the local vigilante. He still doesn't appreciate every criminal in the city trying to kill his boyfriend. That's just downright rude. But when Matthew doesn't return one night, Eli knows whatever he ran into has to be more than just a regular third rate crook. There's a new criminal in town, and Vigilante might have finally found his match. - - - - - - - - - - Sequel to Wattys 2016 winner Vigilante!

(POV Crowley's Houseplants.) There were Rules: First - names are chosen by Him and if He doesn't choose them, they - the houseplants - simply do it themselves. Every time a new plant appears, she gets a name. No reusing, no changes. Every time a plant disappears- well. That's not the point now. Second - Help is essential between co-residing houseplants. Bigger plants shelter smaller ones, small ones make pacts with the weed to help the surrounding plants. The Silent Ones aren't part of this agreement (except for special circumstances). Third - Don't. Have. Spots. ________________ This experiment I thereby dedicate to Hilda, my dear ficus plant who's suffered much under my reign of (incompetent) terror and who is STILL STAYING ALIVE (to suffer through more of it). Also on Ao3. (And I should mention I edit the Ao3 version more often when I find a typo xD) (#1 houseplants - like, 5 times already #3 gardening -5.10. See? A great book for all amateur gardeners! :'D)
