Gray and the rest of Team Natsu go on a 5 year quest, leaving their loved ones behind. They return 5 years later only to find that everyone has changed, including themselves. This is set after the Alvarez Arc. Some of the characters may be a bit out of character or OOC but not much. This is because of the time skip and well they changed over the five years. Being associated with any other guild but their own was seen as a sin. They were above the rest, better than them. Nobody could ever be good enough for their guild. You could say that they're the most feared in all of the land. Nobody is ever sure whether their intentions are good, or bad. But when they're part of the Grand Magic Games the year after Fairy Tail's infamous return to the top, they're caught up in numerous brawls that reveal secrets, bring back old memories, and threaten to ruin their reputation. The line between good and bad is very thin. Will they make the jump over it, to the other side? Or will they find themselves becoming more alone than they were before?
