Aria Parker used to live the high life, her whole life until her life turned around when the black hood murdered her mother in cold blood. Now she has to move to the south side to live with her serpent father also known as Tall Boy, leaving her friends and boyfriend Reggie in the south side. Aria's first day in the south side she meets a serpent boy with a snake tattoo on his neck, known as Sweet Pea. Now that Aria is living on the south side, she must become a serpent like she was born for. As relationships bloom and fall apart, Aria starts to fear about the worst. Will Aria choose the North side, the South or both?

As a Southside Serpent, Sweet Pea is under the impression that all Northsiders are preppy, priviledged Southside-haters. The idea of him falling in love with one is the most unlikely thing he could ever imagine. Surprisingly, this changes when Sweet Pea encounters Miranda "Andy" Andrews, who saves him from her unstable brother and makes an effort to befriend him. Unlikely?
