In a world ravaged by the aftermath of a global pandemic, society has finally reconstructed itself from near-destruction. Samantha Allegrano is studying at prestigious institution Ridgeview University, intent on finding a cure for the virus that nearly wiped out mankind, as well as an antidote for those plagued by its final stage: the Corruption. When her home sector is attacked by the Corrupted, Sam and her close friends plan to escape to the Capitol where they know an impenetrable fence can keep them safe from the undead.
