Kirishima was a hard worker and he took pride in that attribute, he also knew that nothing comes without effort. So when he decides to befriend a certain angry blond, he easily started the next wonderful yet painful years of his life. Now they were out of High school and Kirishima can no longer distinguish how he really feels for his friend. On a certain day though he coughs up a small harmless petal. Maybe things were deeper between Bakugou and him then he thought. (Art belongs to rightful owner!!!)

Kirishima knew it was only a matter of time before he contracted Hanahaki. He's been in love with a certain explosive blonde for almost a year now, and when he hears of a certain flower spitting disease that affects those that are in an unrequited love... he knows he doesn't have much time left. His parents take him to the doctor and he's told what he already knows: he can ride out the disease and die within the next year or have a surgery that effectively removes the flower in his lungs but also effectively removes the feeling of love. Confessing can cure the disease if the other person shares his feelings, but rejection can kill him.

Hanahaki: A non-communicable disease that comes from one sided love. The victim coughs up rose petals which eventually evolve to full roses and blood. Eventually, thorns start to grow in the victim's throat and peirce their lungs. This is how they die. Surgery is avaliable however getting the surgery also means you will lose your feelings. Many people choose not to have the surgery... Bakugo is one of those people. He has suffered from Hanahaki once before on a middle school crush and the disease strikes again...When he falls in love with Kirishima... WARNING - I will be honest, Hanahaki is a very gruesome disease so I will be writing about a lot of detailed graphical stuff. I won't show any pictures but if you are triggered by blood or intense suffering, I advise you to leave. There is also a possibility I will talk about sensitive topics such as abusive families (Nothing 18+ though) and self hate/harm further into the book so if that also triggers you, I advise that you also leave. It is certainly not my intention to offend anybody but if I do, please let me know so I can change it.

Hanahaki: An illness born from one-sided love, where the patient throws up and coughs up flower petals. This rare illness can cause death, by clogging your respiratory system and your windpipe leading to eventual lack of air, or by blood loss. Symptoms: Coughing up petals, Coughing up blood, Thorns growing out of throat, and eventually death. Only cures: The infection can be removed through surgery, but the feelings disappear along with the petals, or the beloved ends up returning the feeling for the infected one. Petals spew across the floor. Kirishima has been dealing with this painful disease for about a month. He thought he could handle it. Nobody knew, and he wanted to keep it that way. He hated the idea of his friends worrying for him, or pressuring Bakugou to love him back-hell, Bakugou didn't even know Kirishima was burdened with these emotions. So the redhead hid it. He hid his undeniable feelings that refused to subside. He was good at hiding. That is, until spring break. The school decided on hosting a school field trip, in which everyone was going to the beach. And by everyone, I mean everyone. It was mandatory for all class 1-A students to attend this trip, as it will include hero training. Now this doesn't seem so bad. Just two weeks at the beach, having a fun time with your classmates. Wrong. You were assigned rooms, with roommates. And I'm sure you can guess who Kirishima was paired up with. These were going to be the longest two weeks of the boy's life. Bakugou experiences the hanahaki disease. He doesn't want it. Why would he want it. It could destroy his relationship with his bestfriend. And it is slowly eating away at the friendship and his body.

||Kiribaku|| Kirishima has definitely done himself over, absolutely screwed his life up. In a world where one sided love is forbidden, he managed to find someone who would definitely not love him. Hanahaki, they call it. He's so going to pay for loving someone who doesn't love anyone, so all he has to do is fall out of love.

Kirishima thought that everything would be easy and that he wouldn't be doing the impossible like coughing up Flower Petals whenever he was near Bakugo but if a book didn't have plot twists then it wouldn't be worth reading.
