S.I.N.A. was created by the government when the president's son went insane during his time in office. He ordered the school system to form a type of schooling so everyone that had been deemed cynically insane or neurotic could still continue their education if they were still aware of their mind. She had not yet shared the story of why she was enrolled to her friends, and because of this they never asked. Levi Ackerman is also a new patient/student forced to enroll. After a brain scan doctors had found that if he ever found something or someone he would love he would become obsessive over it. He was quickly shipped to the institute because doctors thought he would never fall in love with the outcasts of society. The patients of the institute have noticed something wrong with Levi and try their best to avoid him.
