it's a story about the (tenth) doctor and captain jack harkness. not much else explaining to do ;). I do not own any of the characters. The plot line is mine tho.

The Rift is opening, and Torchwood is in over their heads. Captain Jack Harkness and the rest of the team will need to call in some..outside help to save the human race from seemingly imminent extinction. Though, the Doctor may have another issue. He may or my not have developed feelings for the captain. Will he be able to deal with these feelings and save the human race at the same time? This takes place sometime between The Stolen Earth/Journey's End and The Next Doctor. (There may be a bit of mature content, but there's not much. I will put content warnings before chapters that contain it. Also, yes, I know both Owen and Tosh are dead at the point in time when this story takes place, but for the sake of the story, we're gonna pretend that they miraculously survived the events of the season 2 finale of Torchwood because they're necessary for this story to play out the way it does.) The characters and concepts of Doctor Who and Torchwood belong to the BBC. I own nothing.

Both Jack Harkness and the Doctor are determined to die, but they're also determined to save each other. As they try desperately to fix each other, and the further they go, they find that there's always more to be saved from. Who will end up rescuing whom?
