Living only 15 minutes away from Shayne served as the perfect excuse to spend time with him after hours. But when Shayne decides that he won't renew his lease, Courtney worries about the future of their friendship (or whatever the hell they really are). Can they survive the distance AND the rumor of a secret girlfriend? The one shot I wrote somehow ran 5000+ words, so here's a lil short story for you all!

She had replaced it with stupid excuses, and it had almost worked. But silly Shayne and his silly self brought it all back, and now she couldn't hide away that moment last year. It was back, stronger than ever...just in time for more summer antics."
