"Illusion is a powerful thing" UNDER THE MASSIVE REWRITING PROCESS (stay tuned :) ) When the famed Monster Hunters (MH) family, the Southeasts, come back to Reverse Falls, they find that it's changed and not for the better. Monsters freely roam the Dark Forest and kill every human that enter there. They're almost done claiming the entire town when the Southeasts come back, and luckily, just in the nick of time. Pacifica has a run-in with a very powerful Vampire and instead of killing her, he spares her for reasons unknown. Unbeknownst to her, she's become the Amour De Ma Vie to that certain Vampire and there's nothing that can be done. As the war between the different species rages on, there's one thing that's absolutely certain; love doesn't always win.

Note: this was written BEFORE the gravity falls finale and carries on directly from weirdmaggeddon 2. This is how I imagine Dipcifica would happen in the final episode. Stuck in the mystery shack, finally reunited with their friends and family that survived, Dipper, Mabel, Wendy and Soos are still far from safe from Bill. However, Dipper realised that something is still on his mind: Wendy. He was not over her, not at all, and his traumatic experience in Mabel's bubble made him realise that she was his weakness, and his love made him vulnerable. Bill was able to use it for his own dirty tricks. He needed to move on. Luckily, at this point, he started to see somebody else in a new light...

A common plot but with a twist. It takes place after Northwest Mansion Mystery with Pacifica running away (woooah how original where'd ya come up with that one?) but It follows the plot of the show. Something that always bothered me when reading fanfics that follow this plot is that the day after she runs away it's just another day, where in the show the next day is Not What He Seems. This story will be a Dipcifica fanfic. It will have every episode of the show as a chapter but with Pacifica there as well slowly building the relationship. There will also be original chapters so it won't just be a retelling of the second half of season 2. That's enough introduction so please, enjoy the story.
