There was once a boy named Kenan Weiton. He was a new student and every girl who attended Vales Primary had tried to catch his attention. Unfortunately for them, he was shy back then. An insecure and timid 9 year old. Turns out, he was in my first class. And he sat next to me, the ordinary brunette who wore pigtales and crooked teeth. "Hi, I'm Bridget." I smiled, holding out my hand. "I - I'm Kenan." He stuttered, looking down. I smiled,"That's a cool name, nobody here has it." He returned the smile, "I've never known a Bridget before." I giggled, "There's a first in everything right?" Since then we became the best of friends, we were inseparable. We never kept anything from each other. Or so he thought. I was in love with him. So deeply in love with my best friend, and even though I knew nothing about love at that age, one thing I knew was certain was my love for him. But then when we were 12, he left. Just left. Without a warning or a goodbye. Left all his books at school, left all his belongings and left. I remember it so clearly. It was movie night and I was walking to his house. I was planning on confessing my love for him that day. Instead I was met with silence. His scent hit me hard and I felt hot tears threatening to escape. As I walked to his desk I saw a photo on the floor and that's when I finally burst into tears. The photo meant everything to the both of us. It was much more important than a friendship bracelet. His arms were over my shoulders and we both looked at the camera, grinning like fools. At the bottom of the image, read 'Best Friends - K&B' A tear escaped as I snatched the photo and put it in my pocket. "Damn you Kenan. Damn you to absolute hell." With those last words, I let the darkness consume me.

Laciana Hudson, she never believed in love. She thinks it's for the weak and she pitys them. "What are they for?" I asked, pinching my nose with my thumb and index finger. He laughed at me, and removed my fingers away from my nose, "It doesn't stink, Luci, I promise." I smiled and nodded, Jason was my best friend, I trusted him with everything. "What are your sneakers for?" I asked again, pointing to the sneakers he was holding. "For you," He said and handed me a pair. I looked at him like he grew four heads, but accepted it hesitantly. "Why are you giving it to me?"
