If you've already read this then you know how bad my first chapters are and I'm terrible at updating but people still seem to like this story and I sort of love writing it so... ENJOY

In his first few weeks at Hogwarts, Harry Potter notices the bushy haired girl from the train struggling to fit in, but he already has a friend. He wants to be her friend too, but he's not sure how to be friends with two people who don't like each other. Harry gives it a go anyway, and his and Hermione's friendship gradually blossoms into something that Voldemort will come to regret... First through Third year near canon, more AU after that.

The Second War is over. Harry dreams of his future with Ginny - then utterly rejects it. Haunted with trauma, convinced he is broken, he leaves everything behind, only to realise that the life and the girl he wanted was with him all along. But getting her will not be easy. There are wounds to heal and Weasleys to bash out of the way, then HHR can finally begin their 'After Life'.

Things are unstable at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A chilled feeling of unease has replaced any sense that the castle could remain a safe haven to teach and learn magic.
