In the utopian society of Runako, whenever a child is born, their parents choose what features each of them pass on to the child and at what age each of them will die. The parents can also decide whether or not they tell their child their time and date of death. But what the parents don't get to decide is who their child's soulmate is. Each child is born with a birthmark on their wrist. The only other person with the exact same birthmark is meant to be their soulmate. John has a not-so-secret habit of breaking the rules and doing whatever he pleases. Stealing, doing drugs, you name it. John has done it all. He's come to terms with his death date, and he wants to live his short life to the fullest. That includes not wasting his time on a soulmate. At least, that's what he wants to think. Alexander Hamilton and Marquis de Lafayette are the adopted children of George Washington, the newly voted leader and superior of the Eastern vampires. He tasked his adopted sons to go to the human realm, for the sole reason of making friends with one and try to convince them that not all vampires are dangerous, maybe even put an end to the hundreds of deaths of innocent vampires. The two set off to the rift that devided the two realm. They were assigned to go to a school called "Columbia University", where they will learn more about humans and befriend one. Alexander was never ok with all this, but Lafayette seemed to be eager. The only reason why Alexander didn't want to do it, was because of the fact that he was the type of their kind that is very much affected by sunlight, making it difficult for him, on the other hand, Lafayette was totally fine, he was the type that could stay under the sun's rays without getting burned. Either way, he was going to do this, if it means stopping the feud and hatred between both creatures. But, what happens if a certain freckled face human, ends up stealing Alexander's heart, further more, his affections? Will this even affect his determination? Keep in mind this was written in like, 2017 or 2018, so there's a lot of things in here that are here simply because of the year that it was written. All the nicknames, phrases, couples, plots, etc. are all the way they are because that's what was popular at the time and I wrote this at 14. Now at 18, I check up on this occasionally just to see how it's doing, and I've noticed a lot of comments about these little things, so I thought I would add this note. I'm glad that people are still enjoying my work, even though this one is definitely shitty compared to my more recent works on AO3, but just keep in mind this is about five years old and is therefore going to be out of date with some fandom things.
