Sang Sorenson is a sheltered rich girl whose life is a lot more rough than most believe. Her entire life has consisted of abuse from her step-mother, and overbearing older brothers who would do anything to shelter her from the world. But when she transfers to public school and meets a group of nine guys who have her living on the wild side, she's finally found a place she can escape. The group of boys make her feel things she's never felt before, and she's willing to put it all on the line for them, and they're willing to do the exact same for her. Except, they just might have to in order to get through the war that is about to be started. Disclaimer: Most of these characters belong to C.L., except for a few cuties who happen to be Sang's brothers in this.

"Here Be Dragons" A phrase meaning dangerous or unexplored territories, frequently used in the 1700s by cartographers on faraway, uncharted corners of the map. It was meant to warn people away from dangerous areas where sea monsters were believed to exist. It is now used metaphorically to warn people away from unexplored areas or untried actions. Travelers Beware. It's all fun and games until someone dies. ***This is a fan-fiction based off CL Stone's Ghostbird series. The characters belong to her and I take no financial gain. It is for entertainment purposes only.***

AUTHOR'S NOTE: THIS STORY IS A MATURE READ WITH MULTIPLE PARTNERS. IF THIS BOTHERS YOU, DON'T READ THIS STORY. *FANFICTION OF CL STONE'S ACADEMY SERIES As a maid in the Governor's house, and occasional personal attendtant to Governor Sorenson's spoiled daughter Marie, Sang has learned the value of silence and invisibility. All she wants is to do her job without getting beaten or fired. In a moment of weakness, left alone in Marie Sorenson's room, she puts on one of the extravagant dresses in the wardrobe. As she is twirling in a daydream she is suddenly caught by the last people she thinks to see. The crew of the GhostBird are ruthless, cruel, vile, the epitome of evil and their mysterious Captain Blackbourne is worse. Or at least those are the rumors. And they wouldn't have it any other way. In reality they work for a mysterious organization that works to better the lives of the common people of the Carribeans and help those in need while trying to keep the pirate problem under control. After getting a tip about the corruption of Governor Sorenson they are sent on a mission: Kidnap the beloved and spoiled daughter and find a way to use her to bring her father under control. No one is looking forward to it, until they lay eyes on the twirling beauty in the daughter's room. Without even knowing it she quickly captivates the entire crew and then they find out they have the wrong girl. How can they complete their mission now? Will they let her stay? And what happens when an old enemy rears his head?

"Here be dragons" A phrase meaning dangerous or unexplored territories, frequently used in the 1700s and earlier by cartographers on faraway, uncharted corners of the map. It was meant to warn people away from dangerous areas where sea monsters were believed to exist. It's now used metaphorically to warn people away from unexplored areas or untried actions. Beware, this isn't a story about good people doing heroic things...no, this is a story about the bad guys. ***This is a fan-fiction based off CL Stone's Ghostbird series. The characters belong to her and I take no credit or financial gain from this story. I took creative license over the story line, but it's for entertainment purposes only!*** ***This is a dark horror story with some violent and gory imagery. If these types of things disturb you, I advise you not to read. It's not all about the blood, of course; humor and perhaps a little love is mixed in.***

One day Sangs world is ripped to shreds, along with her heart. Follow her as she mends herself and hopefully all of her family back together. This is a fanfic... if you don't know who C.L Stone is or who Sang Sorensen or what a ghost bird is then this won't make any sense to you. This is just done for fun while we are waiting for the next book from C.L. All characters are hers and i'm not making any money off this reimagining.

Since she was eight years old, Sang has been living with an abusive family that's hated her. When they move to South Carolina, she finally gets the courage to run away - but at what cost? Note: All primary characters portrayed are those of CL Stone, author of The Academy series. I'm receiving no financial gains from this, nor will any be sought. Some scene settings/dialogue can be found in her first novel, but the primary arc of the story is my own. Photo credit: "Dark Clouds Approaching" by Benson Kua/Flickr
