(Soulmate AU) Unlike most people when they turn eighteen, Tom never met his soulmate. Tom has always tried to contact him through writing on his arm, but they never replied. Tom always acted like he didn't care around Edd and Matt, but you can tell he's tried to contact his soulmate the night before when he comes to the breakfast table with a gloom face. Edd tries to comfort him, even though he doesn't know the feeling since he found Matt in high school and realized they were soulmates quite quickly, but since Edd is so empathetic he manages to cheer Tom up just fine. Tom just wishes he were as lucky as Edd was... My feet were hanging off the edge of the chair, the noose scratching at my neck... do I really want to do this...? No... I pull my feet back, but I hear Edds voice "goodbye!" I felt to hands push onto my back, shoving me off the chair. I begin scratching at my throat, attempting to break the rope. My face burns. Edd walks out my room, giving me a look I've never seen before... darkness closes in, the blood stained rope winning the battle. My arms drop to my sides and I let go.... TEASER!

When Tom is severely depressed, Tord deals with his problems carelessly. He opts to go out for a night with friends, leaving Tom by himself. What would happen if he ignored him for the night?

He'd only admire himself when he's alone and he'd only brag about his greatness as a joke. He's rather sad, but usually Edd keeps him company when he needs a shoulder to cry on. And Tord... Poor.. Poor Tord. He was on the verge to leave for the army, he was already packed.. But the disappearance of his enemy left him in emotional shambles. He never understood how he could feel so much pain for someone he swore that he hated. Of course with his state of mind, he was never able to leave for the army. He needed Edd and Matt too much at a time like this, even after five years he could never leave his home... They always prayed that Tom would come back.. Then one dark night their prayers were answered... But.. Is this a good thing?
