Alas, on one warm mid-Summer day, when they are entwined in each other's embrace at the top of the Greenwood's Ancient Oak, they see billowing smoke on the horizon. The stench of death and burning flesh chokes the air. The Shadow, an ancient evil thought once extinguished, is upon them. Legolas, still naive in his youth, volunteers to aid the men of Rhovanion from an insurgent of Easterlings and other minions of the flooding Shadow. In his absence, Adlanniel and Thranduil strike up a lascivious relationship. But why? What is it about each other they cannot resist? Thranduil's face loomed closer as he leaned down. Their eyes were locked, and Alina saw his darken almost imperceptibly with unknown emotions. Noses brushing again, her eyes closed and she instinctively tilted her head up to him. His cool breath fanned her face, and her heart quickened. "Don't be afraid to ask for help, my dear." Startled, Alina's eyes flew open, only to see Thranduil, a smirk on his face and the baskets in his hands. His eyes gleamed with laughter as he turned to walk away, leaving Alina with a burning face and a racing pulse. Alina is a normal college student on her first study abroad course when something goes horribly wrong. She finds herself immersed in the world of elves and drawn to their cold-hearted leader. Is his heart to cold for her to melt or is there hope?

This is where young Lúthien's story continues, after experiencing a traumatic experience she finds herself running for the Great Elven King's gates not long before jumping off the bridge that connects the Mirkwood forest to the Thranduil's palace. And from there, her adventure growing up in the Woodland Realm begins PSA! The account Tauriel_Greenleaf23 has been stealing my work and publishing it!
