Story starts, one shots, and drabbles--that's what this collection is made of. From sci-fi to fantasy, it's probably in here because I have the attention span of cat in a room full of mice. It makes it a bit difficult to finish stories, but tossing them in here makes it much less stressful to write things. If I actually finish a story in here, I'll revise it and post it by itself. Everything is nearly unedited, but feel free to constructively critique any of it. Giving prompts or asking me to continue something is also a-okay if that's what you feel like doing. In a land where magic was once the norm, it has taken time for the people to adjust to its absence. In the eight years since a plague took most of the land's Magi, the people of Darkspur have worked hard to put the dark days behind them. Now, after so long, they can truly say the worst is over. But, as the harvest festival draws to a close an unexpected arrival brings dire news, risking everything the population has worked so hard for. All of this means nothing to Sam. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Kingdom, his only worry in life is wondering when the next Teller will arrive and bring him some new exciting tale of the world beyond. But unknown to the boy his father has a secret, one he should have shared years earlier, one that threatens to tear his whole world apart.

Currently nominated for two major Australian literature awards. Sometimes, it's impossible to get home, especially if home is not where you think it is. Aboriginal urbanite Billy doesn't know much about his heritage and he's quite content to let it stay that way. One late night out changes all that. After being marooned on a central Australian highway, he finds his future determined by a pair of unlikely saviours, elders of a small aboriginal community, and some uncomfortable truths. Not to mention the assistance of a mysterious entity only he can see. Relying on instinct and confounded by circumstances beyond his control he tries to find his way home. Loreless-part quest, part ghost story, part contemporary tale-takes the reader on a road trip through a central Australia filled with humour and endless surprise. Wattpad Featured Story - reader's quotes: "Captivating!" "...an evocative narrative.." "...fascinating..." "..beautifully and compassionately written! I literally gasped out loud." Warning: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are advised that this novel contains historical references which may cause distress.

When a multi-billionaire like Thomas H. Adams invites you for an interview you don't refuse, especially if you are just a rookie reporter at the local news station. The fact that this interview was scheduled to take place in 35 years time was cause for concern but given that Thomas H. Adams seems to have a knack for knowing things before they happen and is surrounded in mystery and intrigue, there is no choice. It must be true though, Thomas H. Adams does have the gift of time travel. This gift however didn’t come with instructions and it arrived unexpectedly when Thomas was just approaching puberty so now young Tommy must learn to deal with all the issues facing any growing boy plus he has to deal with the rigours of time travel and the power that that brings, not to mention the dangers. How will he cope? This is the story of how Thomas H. Adams learned to deal with time travel while learning about girls and who knows which is the more confusing, as told to reporter Paul Knight on the eve of Thomas’ death. Author's Note This is the first book in the series, A Timeless Adventure.

Book 1: The Green (chapters 1-104) Five dollars to mail a letter seems like a lot of money to shy farm girl Lily McMillian. When she's hired in the spring of 1860 by Old Man Lynch as a cook for his stagecoach and Pony Express station, she finds out why it's so expensive. Dropped into a whirlwind of rowdy men and boys, fast horses, and frightening conflict, she inherits more than a pile of dirty laundry. She gains an unlikely band of brothers, a motley collection of rounders, miscreants, and troublemakers, all of whom are in sore need of someone to keep them in line. Book 2: Lynch's Boys (from chapter 105) Who would try to kill someone for a deed to a worthless piece of land? That question has plagued housekeeper Lily McMillian ever since she joined the crew of the Green River Pony Express station. To solve that mystery, she must make awkward allies of her brother Jesse, and the two rivals for her affection, Saint and Hellbender. Together, they will make a dangerous journey to a tiny town with a big secret. Meanwhile, as the rest of the riders look forward to an easy week at the station, they discover that the intrigue surrounding Lily reaches farther than anyone thought. Wash, Storm, and their younger crewmates will be forced to defend the station from a terrifying menace. This is the early draft of a published, ongoing Western adventure-romance series. My intention is to publish the draft here, a couple of chapters a week. If you don't want to wait, the first two books of the trilogy are currently available on Amazon, edited and polished, both as .99 cent eBooks or as nice, hefty trade paperbacks. Contains some mild swearing and mild violence. It's a work in progress, so...pardon the dust.

This is the story of a caveman but it is also the story of an executive. They occur a million years apart but they are the same story. Only the circumstances of their environment is different. These two have a similar beginning in life but they waste the opportunities they were born with. Can they get by in this world without their comfortable life and family? Can they achieve their goal in life? Who said man has evolved? Basic instincts are the same, find the best mate you can to produce children to pass on your genes. What lengths would you go to, to pass on your genes? A million years ago it was all about who was the biggest and strongest. Today it is has evolved. Have you noticed that we have stopped getting bigger and stronger. Now days it is the smart that are more attractive as money replaces brute strength as the power that women desire. Sure some will women will argue a good body is more important but when push comes to shove they will opt for the one who can take care of their babies the best. In this day and age that is the rich one. Of course this grand plan all falls into ruin when love raises its ugly (or pretty) head. Common sense and even basic instincts are cast aside.
