After Crait, the Resistance is all but decimated. It will take time before they regain the strength and numbers to be anything more than an annoyance to the First Order. In the meanwhile, the Force bond between Rey and the new Supreme Leader not only continues but grows. They begin to be able to see one another's surroundings, touch things... and as the bond grows, so does their relationship. Mutual distrust becomes begrudging acceptance. Then a strange sort of friendship. And then... well... ;) Post TLJ Reylo fanfic; VERY Rey/Ben centric; will focus almost exclusively on times when the bond brings them together; A VERY patient slow burn that devotes a lot of time to character development. She sat crossed legged within the small clearing within the jungle trees of Ajan Kloss. Breathe she told herself attempting to shake off the dream, but the realness disturbed her. Just breathe. She sat eyes closed meditating breathing and slowly the inner calm she'd come there to seek flowed. She was a conduit of the Force and it flowed through her, centred and calm she ascended one with the Force. Around her rocks also began to ascend floating tranquilly about her like satellites orbiting their planet. It was a surprisingly peaceful moment. "Rey." Rey plummeted to the ground with an ungraceful thud as did everything around her. Cursing she stood and spun in all directions. "Ben!" Rey shouted into the clearing, but of course, there was no answer. She searched about her, but even before she began searching the surrounding trees she knew he wasn't there. Written as a sequel to the Rise of Skywalker (the film, not my fanfiction version) and before the release of novelisation or at least here in the UK. If they were to bring Ben Solo back this is how I think they could do it.

The bond between Rey and Kylo is getting stronger, and after their little "talk" in the throne room, will they be able to stay connected? As they face turmoil between themselves, getting stuck on a desolate planet together, and have to fight off the evil within, even the strongest can come out on top in the end. Unless she succeeds. Spoilers for like, every Star Wars movie, so go watch those first. Also, I don't own any of these characters, though I wish I did cuz' then I'd have monayyyyyy

News of Snoke's death travels fast across the galaxy and a bid for power ensues. Distracted by the events of Crait, and constant, uninvited...visits, Kylo Ren is caught off guard during an attack. He's badly injured and plunges into a coma. Teetering between life and death in the dark, the only person that can reach him, and possibly save him, is a girl he wishes he could hate. Reylo.

Reylo fanfic based on ideas for Episode 9 The rebels could first flee to a safe place and start rebuilding themselves. Rey and Kylo / Ben continue to have a strong connection but try to suppress or ignore them as both believe the other is lost. Then Leia dies and the dead of his mother plunges Ben into a crisis. Hux takes advantage of this moment, takes the power and tries to kill Ben. This one can escape badly injured. Rey is also weakened by Ben's lethal injury and finds out through the research in the jedi's books that she and Ben are inextricably linked by the Forcebond originally created by Snoke....
