It was a way to bring assurance to the student populace that Kivotos would stand strong in the face of difficulty, and ensuring that it wouldn't interfere with their studies and way of life. Its members, ranging from different schools, would choose to join, being only accepted into it depending on a range of factors weighed by SCHALE - however, focused more on the intention than the means, they had failed to find a way to properly enforce the requirements needed to enter, so anyone could get in. This branch having been established just before the start of present day Volume 3, Kivotos is given a significant yet abrupt reminder of Arius' existence and strength, as well as the fragility of society run by naive students.
