The Avian & The Serpentine, the bird and the snake, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.
A story about demise, craving and love, moulded into the storyline of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. We will follow the lives of those who live in the aftermath of a war that left the Wizarding World into ruins and ended completely unexpectedly.
One of these individuals is Sebastian Archibald of the House of Fawley, a part of 17Th generation of an exclusively Ravenclaw family who have shunned their inclusion on the list of the Sacred 28, and the younger brother of Jacobus Hector - or Jacob for short - who, according to the media, went mad, caused the death of a fellow student, and went missing all in effort to find the supposedly Cursed Vaults.
Due to the association with his brother and the reputation of his Grand-Father Hector Fawley, the flamboyant Minister for Magic who was unfit to respond to the threat of the other Dark Lord, Grindelwald, Sebastian finds himself in an environment where he is constantly underestimated and misunderstood.
Yet he is not the only one attending Hogwarts who will receive prying eyes.
Let us not forget the war ended barely three years prior, on All Hallow's Eve, with the death Lily and James Potter and the disappearance of Lord Voldemort.
Thus we enter the life of Barnabas Richard Lee, son of Death Eaters, and raised by his abusive grandmother, who only gave him dark artefacts to play with. After the fall of Lord Voldemort, his parents were taken to Azkaban, and now it was time for him to attend the fabled school.
It is here he will finally find a home.
We follow the tale of The Avian and The Serpentine during the time Harry Potter was locked in the cupboard under the stairs and read how this story co-occurs with the main one.
I will try my best to make this story true to the fact, lorewise and characterwise. I am open for suggestions to amend the story if this defies the rules of the HP-universe and its characters.
THIS STORY WILL CHANGE, WIP!
