Delphi felt it slip through her control the moment she looked at him, every carefully built restraint dissolving into something reckless and unrecognisable. He stood too close, too real, like temptation given shape - something warm and laughing that she had no right to want. And yet she did, sharply, helplessly, like a truth she could no longer lie about. He was her forbidden fruit, and she - tragically, hopelessly, was nothing but sinner in the face of him, standing on the edge of a desire she already knew she wouldn't be able to pretend away. "Fuck you, Fred Weasley," she cursed him. Then, she kissed him. Softly, like he might melt or flee at any given moment. · • -- ٠ ✤ ٠ -- • · Delphini Black had always known she was different. Raised in the quiet, vigilant care of Remus Lupin, she had learned early that the world's rules did not apply to her. Daughter of Regulus Black, her last name was a legacy she carried like a shadow she could never shake. Her magic was ancient, distinct, wild, fueled by the weight of prophecies whispered before even the stars had been born. She was marked by destiny. Yet, despite the shadows that clung to her past, there were moments of light - fragile, fleeting, and achingly human. Among those lights were the Weasley twins, who had welcomed her into their chaos and laughter. She had laughed more with them than anyone else, felt the rush of belonging she had almost forgotten existed. But Fred Weasley... he was a tangle of affection and frustration, of longing and fear, a pull that made every stolen glance and careless joke feel like both comfort and torment. And when it burned, it burned - inside her chest, in her blood, in the way she could never quite look away, never quite breathe right when he was near. And perhaps that was the cruelest part of all...

"People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar." It's been two years one hundred and twenty seven days since the disappearance of Sherlock Holmes. But who could blame him? The year before he disappeared was the worst year of his life. He lost everyone. His parents. His siblings. His friends. Nine deaths in a single year. One could say that he had a death to mourn for every month. It wasn't how you would think it would be. No, not at all. They didn't die from a murderer or a serial killer. There was just accidents, cancer, missions, and heart attacks. But Sherlock had convinced himself that something, someone, was behind the murder of his family. It drove him absolutely insane and over the edge and he went back to smoking, pills, and needles. He pushed his body past its limit and he drove away the only one who was still alive. John Watson had refused to be around him because it hurt his heart to see Sherlock in such a desperate and broken state. John pleaded with Sherlock to stop destroying himself, but the stubborn man just wouldn't listen. Watson figured that Sherlock had left when his birthday came around and he didn't get an anonymous text that he was waiting for. And she was dead too. Sherlock Holmes was declared missing two years and one hundred twenty seven days ago. And after two years of this secluded life out in the middle of nowhere, an unsuspected visitor comes and finds Sherlock at his hidden door. Confused and high, what will the retired consulting detective do when a young fifteen year old girl shows up with a letter addressed to her from him? When he doesn't even have access to a mailbox? I have taken canon characters from the original Sherlock Holmes novels and turned their story into a modern day mystery just like the Sherlock Holmes on BBC we know and love - with a little twist ;) #10 in ireneadler *PG-13 for drug use/reference and language

Edmund Pevensie was craving Narnia. He was craving the warmth, all of his friends and the ability to lead an army without being frowned upon for his age. He craved the attention, and to be someplace a million miles from his cousin Eustace, and of course, Edmund craved her. Princess Catherine was craving adventure. In other words, she was craving a distraction from the pressure she felt weigh on her shoulders, from her brother's lack of time for her anymore, and the ability to fight her own battles without being frowned upon for her size and gender. She craved a distraction from the boredom of Telmarine Princess life, to be someplace new and fascinating and travel like she used to, and of course, Catherine craved a distraction from him. It was just her luck she found something much better. [Book Two of the Edmund Pevensie series.] [Book One; 'BEAUTIFUL // Edmund Pevensie']

Edmund Pevensie didn't like girls. It wasn't that he thought they were disgusting, or had germs like the other boys thought, he just didn't think they were anymore special than anyone else. But then again, he didn't like people in general. And he only knew the girls from Finchley. Princess Catherine III didn't have time to like boys. It wasn't that she didn't want to get married like tradition said she had to or that the boys that she had lined up to chose from. But then again, she had her brother, Caspian, and that was enough. And she hadn't met the King of Narnia. [#1 Edmund Pevensie] [#2 Narnia]
