The world hasn't seen ladybug or chat noir for almost 3 years. After hawkmoth was defeated marinette only had to worry about being the new miraculous holder. Which isn't as exciting as it seemed. There wasn't any new villains they had to worry about. 89% the stuff that happened the police could take care of without ladybug or chat. Marinette was dating the guy she fell in love with two times and had 60% stress off her shoulders. So she would be happy right? I don't know about that. Being a sophomore in high school she has started to deal with real shit. She now struggles with ptsd and her high end anxiety definitely has not gone away. Marinette is dealing with trying to find ways to entertain herself now since she has a lot of spare time. Most of her days she's with adrien, Alya, or one of her other friends vibing. But now she definitely has an issue with teenager stuff. What's teenager stuff? Reality of your 14-18 year old life. Marinette has always been there for Paris as Ladybug with the help of the charming Chat Noir. After having a terrible accident, Marinette is unable to help her fellow team mate fight off akumatised victims and without the help of Ladybug's Lucky Charm Paris falls into a state of deep peril. With the burden of Paris growing on his shoulders, Chat Noir starts to slowly give up more and more. As well as when he checks up on Marinette he's all battered and bruised. Unable to deal with the guilt Marinette is faced with two decisions. One, either she stay in bed and let her body recover while Hawkmoth comes closer to winning, or two, she transforms into Ladybug again in the state she is in hoping that it won't be her last battle.
