A long time ago in Laos, the American army was coming to Laos. There was a white man name John White who was one of the army men. He had a fiancé in America whom he promised when he get back they'll get married right away. Once John and his troop set land on Laos, they saw people were running for their life when the people saw them, they stop and beg in their knee and said something in a weird language. Then the Thai people came and shot some of the people who were on the ground and the army shot all the Thai people. What if John heart change?

In 1961, the Hmong joined forces with the Americans to fight in the Secret War. 5 years later, Nou Cheng, a 21 year old residing in Long Tieng is in a relationship with a girl named Hnouci. They’ve been together for 2 years but have yet to marry. Nou Cheng is suddenly recruited as a soldier. What happens when war separates love? Will they be able to overcome the storm or will their relationship die like the many lives that were lost in the war?
