All the nicknames, phrases, couples, plots, etc. are all the way they are because that's what was popular at the time and I wrote this at 14. Now at 18, I check up on this occasionally just to see how it's doing, and I've noticed a lot of comments about these little things, so I thought I would add this note. I'm glad that people are still enjoying my work, even though this one is definitely shitty compared to my more recent works on AO3, but just keep in mind this is about five years old and is therefore going to be out of date with some fandom things. John Laurens was known in college for one thing and one thing only: He was the biggest fuck boy ever. Which was perhaps a hyperbole, but the title still stood. What most people didn't know is that behind the charming smiles and weekly hookups, John Laurens was just a desperate gay guy in search for a cute that didn't sleep. He convinced himself that if he slept with enough girls, he would start liking them eventually, but it doesn't work that way. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?
