"Time is an interesting thing. How souls so eternally different can be bound to one another in the most unexpected of ways." Sun Scale, Defender of Earth, Soldier-In-Training to His Majesty the Queen, feels as though he has lived a pretty average life so far. He has a loving family, the greatest friends in the world, and a true can-do attitude. What more could he possibly ask for? Okay, so maybe the madman who cursed them a thousand years into the past deserves a good beating, but, hey, that's for another time right? Another time indeed, for soon he will discover a terrible truth. For all of his power and influence, the darkness inside each of his teammates continues to grow and if it is not stopped, it might literally be the end of the world. And in order to stop it, he will have to journey through the past, right the moments that went wrong, and somehow save the universe. But nothing is ever as it seems, danger and betrayal lurk around every corner... ...and time is not on his side. //Book 4 in the Defenders series// //Cover was made using Canva AI//

"What does your heart tell you? When the lines become blurred, will you do what is necessary or what is right?" Princess Cotton Scale had always been taught that "bigger is better" and that she deserved the absolute best of everything. Just the perks of being the next ruler of her world, she supposed. But when she was selected to be a Defender, everything changed and she was thrown full-force into a world that couldn't care less about her status. Slowly, she began to discover that there was more to the galaxy than she once believed, and not all of it is good... When her cousin Koa discovers something old and potentially dangerous, Cotton will have to put behind her not-so-blemish-less past to bring her back. And her teammates; Cloud, Sun, Fire, and Meadow, won't let her do it alone. But when secrets from her dark past are unearthed, Cotton will have to face the greatest threat all of Dragnaple has ever seen. Herself. "Dragnaple has no place for scrawny, malformed, spectacled, wanna-be heroes." Meadow Grass isn't what most would consider a "normal" hero, and definitely not like the characters he reads about in his books. He stutters when he talks, tinkers instead of destroys, and is an absolutely lousy fighter. But, if there is one thing he's learned from his short time as a Defender, it's that heroes are never the ones everyone expects. And now he is going to have a chance to prove it. Something's gone terribly wrong in Dragnaple. A new villain has escaped the Dark Realm and is brainwashing a ll of the tribes to become the evil versions of themselves. When that same darkness takes control of everyone on his team except him, he will have to find the courage inside of him to rise from the shadows, save the realms, and maybe discover himself along the way. "If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing." ~1st Corinthians 13: 1-3 A/N: Theme Song: "Saviors of the World" by Skillet. //Book 2 in the Defenders series//

"The Prophecy may say you are a hero, but you'll never be what the universe needs to survive." Cloud Star has always known he was different. From the day he exploded from his egg with the curse of sapphire-colored scales, to the day the ghosts in his head told him why he had to be kept a secret from the rest of the world, until now; nineteen years later; when he must remain hidden to prevent a firey end to the nine Realms of Dragnaple, he had never doubted he had power, even if he had never felt it (or, let's be honest, seen it). But what he hadn't suspected was just how much a dragon of his rarity was worth--and what some would do to secure him for their own selfish desires. But when Cloud is given the chance to leave his home and everything he's known behind to go out into the world and become the hero the Realms so desperately need, he will have to make a choice: Stay where he knows he will be safe--and watch the Realms tear each other apart... ...or break free of the expectations of his kind and become a hero that the universe could never have predicted.
