The Hotel Reynard is the sleepy town of Spelling's chief attraction, and its new owner is a college dropout with commitment issues. Gemma has always loved the stories and history that surround the property--scary tales conjured by the locals to draw in tourists. But when she witnesses the inexplicable, Gemma refuses to consider the paranormal and searches for answers. She just never thought they would come in the form of hot, identical twin brothers living beneath the hotel's bell tower. When the truth begins to unravel, Gemma is forced to consider the possibility that the paranormal does exist, and it's woven into the core of the hotel, starting with Archer and Soren Hyde. Despite her skepticism, she must solve the mystery shrouding her family, hold tight to the hotel she adores, and try to resist the charms of the two mystical men haunting the Reynard. Book 3 in The Family series The worst-case scenario happened. A victim of the Sawyers escaped. Even worse than that, this victim carried away the youngest, infant member of their clan. The only choice the family has left is to hit the road to avoid the inevitable persecution coming and they're dragging Matilda along for the ride. It turns out a road trip with the family is anything but boring. With a manhunt in progress for the unconventional brood and new trouble to be stirred up around every bend, a moment of rest is rare to find. Chaos isn't always a bad thing though. It does well to distract from the gaping hole left by the absence of their kin. Plus the rat twin's antics can be pretty entertaining to watch unfold. When the road eventually ends as all do and leaves the Sawyers at the home of their estranged relatives seeking refuge, the fun and games are over. Matilda thought she was leaving her grotty past and all her horrid memories behind her when she left the farm, but it turns out she only traded one hell for another. How will the family cope with the loss of one of their own? How far are they willing to go in order to evade being caught while on the road? What horrors will Matilda find waiting for her at the home of her new family's eccentric relatives? How much more will Matilda have to endure and conquer on the long road home?
