Budo Masuta is well liked at Akedemi High. Shin Higaku is considered strange and weird. Nobody ever would think them to be friends or at least spare a glance at one another. When one bad thing drives Shin to do the unthinkable, him and Budo are brought together miraculously. After a few days of Budo checking on him, Shin starts to purposely drift from his so-called "savior". He knows they've got nothing in common and wishes for them to stay strangers. But right after Shin thinks he's getting a break from the world's antics, him and Budo are trapped together in a life or death situation.
