Since being diagnosed as quirkless at the age of 4, Izuku Midoriya has been bullied by his peers, in particular his former best friend Katsuki Bakugo, for being useless and dreaming of the seemingly impossible. After his idol All Might stated that he cannot be a hero, Izuku feels like there is no other choice than to take Bakugo's advice to jump off a building and die. However a fated encounter with a wandering martial artist changes his outlook on the world and the meaning of being a hero and being strong.
