Its been 2 years since the Othermind was defeated. Barely. Those sent into battle were changed, altered. They became more than themselves. They became.... weaponized. The ones that survived the war were deemed too dangerous to live and captured and put into a prison on an just off the coast of Pantala, right in the dragon's mouth, where they are watched dilligantly by Queen Apidae and her guards. It's newest resident, Duskflower, has done something truly unforgivable. But... her cellmates don't need to know about that. Mystic doesn't know how he got there, but he's certain he doesn't want to stay. Widow was a fighter for the queen, until the queen sent her on a mission, and the guards captured her, the abomination of the hive. Boom is rather peaceful. Or at least he is now, a war changes a dragon. The group band together in order to escape the prison, but in their way stands guards, a crazy Sandwing animus, and a whole Hive. Redemption rather difficult in the backwash of the world. Credits to Talongamer12, WingsofThunder708, and Soldier99 for their OC's, and to ShadowWing Studios for starting the roleplay!! It was his sister, Lightningtail. She was shaking his shoulder. He also heard roaring in the background, which alarmed him. "Thunderclap! Hurry! Something's happening!" He sprang out of the nest as if it were on fire. One of the echoes sounded eerily familiar; Thunderclap knew the dragon that was growling and hissing in pain. "Do you know who it is?" he asked, running shoulder-to-shoulder with his sister. "No, but it sounds like..." Lightningtail said as they drew near the crowd. She flapped her wings in the cramped space and peered over the heads. "It is! It's Brisktail! Someone is trying to kill him!" . . . Fame was different than most dragonets. While most dragonets had prey to chase, she only had a skinny rat that bit her and ran away as soon as she went near it. While most dragonets had toys and snacks, she had knives and throwing stars. While most dragonets had a happy wingery to play in, she had Fire, smoke and misery. While most dragonets were taught manners, she was taught how to slit someone's throat. But Fame is an adult now, and none of those things bother her. Fame was 8 when the volcano erupted, destroying her homeland and leaving her tribe at the mercy of the RainWings. The RainWings, who have no right to rule over the NightWings. Or at least that's what Fame thinks. She has thought that since the beginning of her life as an assassin. Since her parents disappeared and were assumed dead. But when Fame thinks she discovered a lead on what might have happened to her parents, she discovers that the reason is much more deadly than she could have ever imagined. Wings of Fire belongs to Tui T. Sutherland

Quickclaws glided to a weak landing, his sore body crashing into the stone. A dark-scaled dragon landed next to him and after Quickclaws wiped the blood out of his eyes he looked up to see Speedscar. His mentor helped him up, Quickclaws making an effort to stand. Speedscar checked him for any major injuries and seemed relieved that he was okay. The dark-scaled dragon lifted his snout to look around the bay. The ice sheet that had been freezing the estuary was broken in places where bodies had fallen through. The ice was stained with spatters of blood. A few bodies littered the cliffs, red and gray alike. Quickclaws' heart skipped a beat when he noticed Lightningtail flying towards him over the battlefield. "We won't survive another attack," Speedscar murmured. Quickclaws looked up in surprise to meet his mentor's worried gaze but Speedscar watched the departing SkyWings with a frown. . . . Brisktail spun around. His eyes scanned the leafless bushes behind him and he lifted his snout to scent the air. Dragonscent, he thought, catching the smell as the wind blew it to him. Even his keen eyes couldn't pick up the creature until it moved. A dragon emerged from the bushes. It was white with brown markings crisscrossing its scales. A row of long pearly quills ran from its head to its tail, and the dragon ducked its head so as to not catch its pronged horns on the bramble thorns. What's more, was that it barely stood a head taller than a scavenger. "H-hello," Brisktail murmured to the stranger. . . . SwiftScales created and owned by OhDearCharlie and ThunderclanWarrior12. Rainwind hated lying. Probably because it stemmed deep into her dragonethood. Something she learned and saw as a repeating pattern was that dragons lied all the time. From gems like: "I'm fine," to: "Everything's going to be alright," Rainwind learned at a young age that most dragons were always pretending. Always. Sometimes about how good they were at hunting or one particular flight maneuver or even as far as how they were feeling... They were pretending to others, which often meant that they were lying to themselves. Nothing good became of a liar. Look at what happened to Swansong. . . .
