Theodora Howells was always different. But not in the regular "i'm different from everyone else !!" sense. Okay, well yeah she was different from everyone else but not for the reason you'd think. No she was different because she had the ability to travel through time. She never knew how she was able to do this, but Theodora was always the type to shrug her shoulders and adapt. And adapt she did. Theodora liked being able to travel through time, and one day for fun she decided to visit the 1950s. Little did she know how important this visit would be. Margaret (Maggie) Campbell and her husband, Charles are the spitting image of a perfect marriage. They live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood in a nice town. Everyday Margaret woke up to make her husband coffee and breakfast, then she sees him off to work. Margaret loved her husband, but not in the way she saw her neighbors love their husbands. She didn't expect anything in her life to change, until one day she saw a beautiful young woman move into the house across from hers. Angry and bitter about her parent's divorce, sixteen-year-old Faith Everett isn't pleased when her mother packs up their lives and moves them to the small town of Meadow. Faith has a bone to pick with the world and prefers to stay away from the company of others. She has her reasons, but she's not about to share them with anyone. Hope Chamberlain, often referred to as the Mother Theresa of Meadow, has spent her life devoted to service, tradition, and the unshaken belief that goodness can mend whatever's broken. She leads her church's summer camp with a heart full of conviction and the belief that no soul is beyond saving. When Faith is forced to attend the same summer camp, their lives collide, and the two couldn't be more different. Hope wants to help Faith rediscover her religion--Faith just wants Hope to disappear. But as the girls' lives intertwine, what begins as resistance turns into a quiet, fragile connection that neither one of them expects. As the summer unfolds, both girls are forced to confront painful secrets, question their beliefs, and redefine what family and friendship truly mean. A poignant coming-of-age story about love, loss, and redemption. Hope and Faith explores the beauty of heartbreak, and how two opposites learn that healing sometimes begins in the most unexpected places.

A 19th century London courtesan agrees to a phony courtship with a navy captain and finds herself negotiating uncharted territory outside the boudoir. ***** The year is eighteen-thirteen. The place is London. Mistress Rosalind Hayes is a courtesan, raised in an orphan asylum and later tutored by one of the most respected courtesans of the time. Now, Rose caters to the whims of lusty nobles and businessmen, and she is determined to maintain her sovereignty. When Rose meets the Thompson siblings; Jules, a navy captain, and Alice, his spirited younger sister, the trio form an easy kinship. Rose learns they have recently lost their mother to smallpox, and she is persuaded by the siblings to pose as Jules's love interest in an attempt to bring their grief-stricken father out of a terrible depression. As luck would have it, Rose's genial manner helps to free the older man from his melancholy, but she also begins to feel things for the captain that threaten to topple her empire.
